During cataract extraction they may bring about traction on the capsule threatening its rupture. The ultrastructural basis of these adhesions is a bonding of pigment cells to capsular surface by pseudoexfoliative material.

Preoperative and intraoperative localisation of gastrointestinal bleeding of obscure origin.
